Do you have a shop front/Showroom?

Products
Are Mugu shelves fully assembled?
Yes, all Mugu shelves are fully assembled in our warehouse to ensure they’re sturdy and ready for use. When you receive your shelf, simply peel off the protective film from both sides of the acrylic panels (this film is there to protect the panels during shipping) and attach the shelf feet to complete your setup.
Are Mugu shelves sturdy enough to hold a certain weight?
Yes, all our shelves are designed with sturdiness in mind. We rigorously tested every variation to ensure they are stable and won’t wobble.
- Acrylic panels can hold up to around 15kg per unit. While they are stronger than glass, they may bend if the weight exceeds 20kg.
- Stainless steel panels can support up to 30kg.
Will the colours of the products I see on my screen match what I receive?
We do our best to ensure the colours you see online match the actual products, but please note that colours can vary slightly due to different computer systems and mobile devices. If you're unsure about a colour, you can check out our Instagram @mugu.space to see customer photos, or reach out to us at info@mugu.com.au for more details.
Customisation
Can I customise a Mugu shelf?
Yes, you can! We offer a modular system that can be tailored to fit your space and needs. There are a few limitations within our system, and we’ll need to ensure your specifications will be sturdy and suitable. Feel free to reach out to discuss your custom requirements!
What is the customisation process?
To begin the customisation process, please email us at info@mugu.com.au with the following details:
- Your desired specifications and colour. Any rough drawings would be very helpful! If you want to modify an existing shelf from our website, please specify the changes, such as adding sections, increasing height, or adding cubes.
- We’ll review your specifications and provide you with the final options based on your request.
- Once you confirm the details, we’ll send you an invoice, including shipping costs if applicable.
We’ll be in touch to discuss the next steps and ensure everything meets your expectations!
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we only ship within Australia as our shelves are prebuilt in our studio, making international shipping a bit challenging. However, we're working on creating flat-pack options, so stay tuned for updates!er
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times can vary based on the product, your location, and the courier service. We typically dispatch all Mugu orders within 7-10 days, and depending on your location, delivery usually takes between 2-7 business days.
My items haven’t arrived yet. What can I do?
We’ll send you a shipping confirmation email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. This email will include a tracking number that you can use to check the status of your delivery and get an estimated arrival time. If you haven’t received the shipping confirmation or notice that your tracking status hasn’t updated, please reach out to us at info@mugu.com.au
Can I pick up my items instead of having them delivered?
Absolutely! you can pick up your order directly from our warehouse at 16 Edward St, Brunswick. Just choose the pickup option at checkout, and when your order is ready, one of our friendly team members will contact you to arrange a convenient pickup time. Please note that pickups are by appointment only.
Returns & Refunds
How can I return an item if I change my mind?
Mugu offers a 14-day refund policy, allowing you to request a return within 14 days of delivery.
If you're not satisfied with your purchase, simply contact us at info@mugu.com within 14 days of the delivery date to start the return process. Please note that customers are responsible for shipping and handling fees for returns due to a change of mind. All returned items must be unused and arrive at our fulfillment center in their original condition.
Mugu reserves the right to refuse returns or exchanges for items that are not in as-new condition due to customer damage or misuse. Please take care when repackaging any returns. Once we inspect and approve the return, your refund will be automatically processed back to your original payment method. (For change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for the payment processing fees incurred at the time of purchase.) Please allow a few days for the refund to reflect in your bank account.
What should I do if my goods arrive damaged?
In the unlikely event that your items are damaged after delivery, please contact us at info@mugu.com.au. Please provide the following details:
1.Your invoice (including order number) or other proof of purchase.
2.A detailed description of the item and the issue.
3.Photographic evidence of the damage or defect, if possible.
4.Any additional information we may need to assist you.
We will review your request and inform you of the next steps, whether that’s a refund or a replacement, depending on your preference.
Online Shopping
Will I receive an order confirmation after purchasing online?
Absolutely! Once you’ve placed and paid for your order, you’ll receive an order confirmation email right away. If any unexpected issues arise with your order, such as stock availability, colour options, or lead times, our online sales team will promptly reach out to keep you informed.
Product Care
What is the best way to clean my Mugu shelf?
For stainless steel surfaces: Use a soft cloth with warm water and mild detergent. Wipe in the direction of the grain to avoid streaks, and dry with a clean cloth to prevent water spots. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or steel wool, as these can scratch the surface.
For acrylic panels: Gently wipe with a microfiber cloth and a solution of water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals or rough cloths, as they can damage the acrylic. For tougher spots, a specific acrylic cleaner can be used, but always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.The answer
